I am monitoring a group of warning students for the St. Cloud campus. I have contacted many of the online instructors that have these students in their classes. The online instructors have responded in a very postive timely fashion. I wonder if they would respond in the same fashion to library issues?
One online instructor of English Comp e-mails or calls when she has Bismarck students who are struggling with citing sources. We've discussed creating/archiving a Wimba demonstration of citations, but I need to learn Wimba better.
I have emailed one online instructor about an article that the students could not find in the database stated. Originally, it started when students could not access the article. Hilary located the article in another database, and I emailed the instructor. He really appreciated it.
I have no contact with online instructors other than Mary, our part-time librarian. It is almost like they live in a different world than the full-time instructor. For that matter the adjuncts are introduced to me during interviews if there is time and then the only contact we have after that is if they make it.
