What do you do...

When you get new books, what do you do with the CD-ROMs that are in the little envelopes in the back of the books? Do you leave them in the envelopes, or do you remove them and keep them in cases behind your desk, or...?

I leave them in the book and don't unseal them. Just make sure they are in the book when it gets returned.

To add another comment:

You could take a Sharpie fine tip marker and print on the top of the CD (or on the movie if it is a DVD),

Rasmussen College Barcode -00 000

(I write the digits after the zeros on the barcode of the book/DVD). Use a newer marker and it will look nice.

NOTE: This may not work on all CDs/DVDs, expecially if it is a double sided movie and both sides are the shiney side.

Otherwise, it looks nice (professional), and it is another way to mark materials that may be loaned outside of the system, so they come back.
